Hi,

I was curious as to the nature of the sounds setup for individual characters for the game. I was wondering if there is only allowed one sound scheme per model. For Example: I have a Luke model from EP4. I switched things around to have the model like this:

models/players/luke model_default_anhluke.skin

This works wonders, i can switch between ep4 luke and the luke in the original game with 'less' loadtimes for the model, because it is using the same 'model' (glm) file for both lukes. The Joy is this: model_default_anhluke.skin pairs itself with icon_default_anhluke.jpg

and the setup is complete, my icon matches my model.

However, there is only animsounds.cfg and sounds.cfg and neither allow me to set for the anhluke skin use sounds/chars/anhluke but for the default skin use the default sounds. etc.

do i have to have it in it's own model directory to customize the sounds for the model? thanks

I don't think you can. As far as I know there's only one sounds.cfg You could try making one called sounds_anhluke.cfg can't say that it will work though.

Umm Just a suggestion for the moderators remeber this is just a suggestion. Could some body make/find and create a link to a good tut. that tells you how to edit sounds. Knowing me this has probably already been done but I have missed it. But still I think it would be a good idea if it hasnt already been done.:)

It's got nothing to tell about sounds...
