Ok well I have the basics down, but i would just like to know a few commands when the 'n' key is pressed, the entity editor. For switches the command used is 'noise' /sounds/moves/switches or whatever sound you want for a swtich, the second part is in the Assets0.pk3 file. 1. However, what about doors and other things? I know it has some help lines in the entity editor (n), but it never works for me? 2. What about elevators? Is it still noise? I tried 'soundset' but that was way wrong b/c it wouldnt even load until i had deleated all those keys. 3. OK another thing, under 'worldspawn', how do you add custum music? I've checked so many posts and just cant seem to grasp what is being said. I am still in the process of creating my map and would just like to hear the song played when i am testing, just to insure that it works. 4. Also, Is there any way to create a switch that changes the world music? Like create a swtich that would alter the music of the entire level, not just the area around the switch? I read something about Global but not sure exactly where to find this. I have been using RichDiesal's tourtorals and it doesnt seem to cover this, of course he's not finished with all of them yet. Anyone know how to help me, Anything is appreciated! Thanks in Advance!

1. depends on what tool u use, is it jk2radiant or gtkradiant? 2. i think elevators make their own noise and theres no need to adding the noise thing in entity menu 3. are you sure the custom music is in .wav format? 4. not sure about changing music in mp, but for sp i know you can have different music in different areas of a map or different rooms

might not help much but i think i answered at least 1 question

I am using Jk2Radient. The music for the level can be in mp3 can it not? I am just not sure of where to actually put the music. The elevators do not make thier own sounds..at least not in SP when i am testing it. Well i believe i've abandoned the idea of changing the music for now. I'll just stick to the basics.

MUSIC:

key music value music/mymap/file.mp3 Use / Do not use \

AND USE SEARCH

You can also make some target_speakers that are global, and player can turn on/off those speakers with switch

Elevators aren't making sound. You muse write what sound you want.
