If I give someone a .max or .3ds file, could you make a map with it? I would like to know, because I have great ideas, but not the faintest ideas of how to make a map.:assimilate:

lol ESJ_Psycho leave the 'nOOb' alone.
I am not sure how it would help. I am also a inexperienced mapper. No not a noob.... HEY COME OVER HERE AND SAY THAT!!!
My intent when posting this thread was not to host an argument. Now, can anyone actually help me?
i could help you and do you want that .max or .3ds into a .md3? i could make that for you
You mean you want to make the map in 3ds max and then for someone else to copy it into radiant?
If so you might want to take a look at a Gmax frontend called Gmax Tempest, which lets you create .map files in a 3ds max style interface.
Does anyone know where I can find documentation on how to setup gmax tempest with jk2? thanks.
