also how do i make/find the .bsp file nessary to load the map

Click on the Bsp menu (you have to save the map before that) and select an option bsp FullVis. Wait until map is compiled and thats it. Dont close the black window until it's not closed by itself because the map will not be compiled correct. after i compile it where does the .bsp file apear?

In the folder where you saved your map. And just in case that you don't no this, your JK2Radiant must be installed in the gamedata folder. If it is, then open gamedata/base folder and find folder maps. In this folder save your maps. After compiling JK2Radiant will place .bsp file here. And if you want to play your map, you don't need to move .bsp file, just in multiplayer startup screen bring down the console - shift + tilde(~), and type devmap yourmapname. ex:if you saved map as test then type devmap test. I think there is a more detailed tutorial about this on that link.
