Hey everyone I'm new at mapping, I'm off to a good start though, I'm trying to create a landing bay where a person can activate the bay doors and suck everyone in the room out to space, like in single player and I was wondering how would I accomplish this.

well idont know how you would do this but like theres a button when you push a button it makes a trigger_push aimed at a target_position which is outside and outside there is a trigger_kill or a trigger_hurt with the falling death property by selecting the brush and pressing "n" and type dmg with a value of -1

i hope you understand

wow I was surprised to see a reply email in my box after all this time, but since you replied I'm back for this post. I actually did the same thing as you said when I made my map., I just made it a bit more complicated, forcefields and multiple variables for activation. I even made scripts for the single player version, which was nice..

Ok, I'm not sure if this is the same situation with JA as JO, or if it's the difference between SP and MP, but....I'm trying to make a similar trap in JA, and I'm building a MP map. I have only one problem, though - the trigger_push entity, when inactive, seems to be trying to push players out the door but never quite does it - the effect is as if there's a massive earthquake going on as soon as you enter the trigger_push area. Now, this is when it's inactive - when activated, it does what it's supposed to do - throw players out the door. I noticed that it only does this when playing the MP game - if I load up my .bsp in single player, it doesn't do this. Any idea what the problem might be? Thanks for any help you all might have :D -MoeJoe
