I've never done any modding or editing before, but want to try my hand at it. Firstly, I want to edit some multiplayer model files. As you may know, the Mace Windu reskin by Mars Marshall of Toonces model includes 3 different versions of Mace. All I want is the unrobed version, so how can I delete the other versions of Mace from the file?

Well, you wouldn't want to delete the old ones, what you would do is add your own custom skin. I don't do much skinning/modelling, so I'm not sure if its the model or the skin you need to edit. Either way though, you should make an add-on to the existing skin, then upload it on JK2Files.com & JediKnightII.net, as well as any other popular JK2 site, this way other people can download it & when you play online they can see you in your kickass new skin.

I know there's some skinning tools out there & it's probably here on JK2Files.com. It comes with a complete tutorial on skinning, I've read it before, so I know it exists, it's just been awhile since I've used it. I'm trying to get into the coding thing at the moment.

I don't know if this is an idea you came up with yourself, or if it's something you have seen someone else using, but if it is something you have seen someone else using then all you need to do is open the .pk3 file & find the .skin name for the skin. Then change the model & skin name to that & viola; But again, this is only if you have already seen someone else using it.

Hope this helps.
