Is it possible to make an elevator that can go up and down multiple (4, to be specific) floors?
Yeah, I've seen it done many times. Not sure how it's done though.

Been thinking... couldn't you just link an elevator to multiple buttons on multiple floors? Or would that make you press all the buttons in order to access the elevator?

Nope no way possible. That would just mean that any of the buttons would make the lift go. I advise func_train, but I'm not quite sure how it works when you link it to a trigger. But I DO know that you can link it to a trigger, so just muck around with it until it works.
I suppose a func_train would probably be best.. Though you cannot control it using buttons, so it's not triggerable at all.
I suppose with many func_doors you can give the illusion of one elevator going to multiple floors.. but that would be tricky and complicated... hmm.. personally I'd just go with the func_train because it's simpler ;)
I have an idea but it would only be possible if you have a lift-platform (without ceiling) and from the lower to the uper levels - not from upper to lower.
You put different lifts under the floor and give everyone only ONE button. Every lift gets his personally hight and if you klick on the button to for example, Floor 2 the lift that goes to Floor 2 will go there and'll return to it's old position under the floor. So it would make the illusion of having one lift with more positions. :uhm: Yes, hope u'd understand what I mean ^^""
