if any of my cd's get dirty i just use soap and water. trust me it works for me. scratches... hmmm.... there are litter devices that get rid of scratches at computer stores, look around they are very useful. btw there is a button called reset settings or something in the options screen i had to reinstall the program too and saw that button and got mad at my stupidity

Try Eraseing the left over JK2 Folders.

If you have any saved games or files that you want to keep (Probally Do) then move them over to another folder for now.

Also make sure all you anti Virus programs are turned off. I hope you get back online soon.

Keep me updated. Also try This

Good Luck.

Not with JKII but with other CD. Reading side of CD looked perfectly alright until looked it against sun. There was small hole on CD. Closer inspection revealed that hole wasnt reading side at all. Label side and made hole to reading surface. Information from that spot was lost forever and CD is totally useless. No way to replace information that is already missing. Thats why i hope you have only usual reading problems. Dirty CD or laser lens. But sometimes helps if disables read ahead cache from CD.
