How can i convert Avi,Mpg,Mpeg,asf, .... to a Jk2 Video?
13th March 2003
The JK2 video format file is the .roq. The ROQ videos are really hard to do, and now I'll explain you why: They're pictures sequences (Ok nothing new. All videos are Picture sequences - you'll think- But just wait). The Roq files are files compiled from a sequence of TGA files and an audio file. The Roq files plays at 30 FPS so this mean that if you wanna make a video of 5 sec you need 150 TGA. Now you understand why i said it is too hard to make a roq.
Oh i forgot to tell you that i don't know if there is a way to convert a .avi, .mpeg to a .roq file. Really sorry:( :( :(
Pretty good modeler :)

There is a way, but i don't think that there is a "converter". Raven didn't use one so i doubt it exists.
You need a video editing program that has the ability to save as .tga's. I only know "video paint" from Ulead. It's old but works.
Next, you need a program that can rip the sound from the video. If you don't have one you can use a standard recorder too.
Then all you need to do is follow the tutorial that comes with the jk2 editing tools.
