Well, the title says it all, I'd like to know how to make totally transparent objects using 3dsmax. I've screwed around with materials and such, but it just doesn't work out. Also, and this may end up being the same thing, how do you simulate glass and stuf using 3ds? I'm using v5 (latest)

I'm not sure of the exact command, but has to do with "opacity"

Actually it has nothing to do with an opacity command, and they are called brushes. Try using the texture system/nodraw. THere is another way as well, but I can't remember, try this...

if u wanna get it in a map, use a glass shader on a brush or a curve, if u want it totally not there, cover it wit physics_clip shader, that does not draw it, and nodraw will make it nonsolid if u wanna make ur own shader it gets more complicated, but if u dont have soft that works wit alpha channels, dont even try
