Im new to modeling and I have been experimenting with Milk Shape because it is CHEAP and because several tutorials said it was decent to use. The problem is that I can't export into Ghoul2 format (.glm). I have the import module but I haven't been able to find an export module. If I'm using the wrong tool, please let me know...

I'm willing to learn any tool... I just don't want to pay a lot of money for one... and I'm not willing to pirate one.

Thanks for the help.

Well first you need the SDK both versions.....they're somewhere here at jk2files downloads sections, I will try to find them for you,:agreed: but you should look for yourself.

You need both version of the SDK because both of them have the programs you need to make your model into a .glm

If you have any other question take a look at the sticky icky thread titled: the big skinning and modeling guide, read this first. Everything else you need to know should be there:)

Found them here's the link: http://www.jk2files.com/sort.files?cat=668&ref=666 You need the:

JK2 Editing Tools (1.0) & Software Development Kit (SDK) (Editing Tools)

The JK2 ETools are used to make your model into a .glm And the SDK (editing tools) are needed to view your model.

Sorry I can not help you with compliling model into a .glm take a look at the thread titled: "The big skinning and modeling resources thread, read this first" Take a look around there should be something there to help you.

If not try http://www.milkshape3d.com go to the forums and ask them about making .glm's from ms3d.

Thank you so much for the help. I was able to get one of the tools, I think the one you view with. I will get the other one and check out that thread.

I really appreciate it.

1.) Create your model in Milkshape

2.) Export to MD3 (1 frame in the .qc script)

3.) Open MD3 view included in the first SDK

4.) View and export into GLM

Easy. If you need help with qc scripts ask again.
