I'm making a saber hilt (after being put through problems with stuff), which is a reconstruction of Lukes ROTJ hilt, making it look true to its movie predessesor. But, I do not know how to texture the darn thing. If anyone is expirienced with texturing a saber hilt, could you help me?

TaDAH! I will help you!

Hehe, I've made a few sabers. I use Max though, so if you don't, I'm worth monkey buttocks. Ok, first you wanna get your hands on Chilliskinner: http://www.chilliweb.co.uk/chilliskinner/ And then follow the tutorial on the site. After you've done that, pop out a little texporter action: http://www.cuneytozdas.com/software/max/texporter/ And generate your texture map. Then paint it with photoshop and you're good to go. Next comes exporting and stuff. Anyway, if you are using 3D Studio MAX, and are confused, feel free to email me, or contact me on MSN Messenger and I'd be happy to go through it all with you in further detail. See ya around. :cya:
