I was wondering if there is any way to model in Maya for jk2 models, also what are teh poly requirements and stuff like that? I really wish that someone would do a walkthrough/ tutorial on modeling in jedi.

OK.. once again not reading the sticky's but...

For models possibly the best tool to use in the first instance is Milkshape. Its relatively straight forward without a tone of extra tools just to confuse you. There is a nice tutorial availible for creating models for it at the milkshape website.

OK, possibly the BEST reason for milkshape is that it can directly import GLM files...

Ever fancied putting Darth's head onto Tavion??? well with Milkshape its rediculously simple to do this.

OK, so now you have the Model done your now onto the hard part.

Export the model to 3ds format and import it into 3ds Max. also Import a skellington XSI. merge them together. Weigh the points, UVM map the thing, save the maps messhes for skinning, skin the meshes. save your re-done model as an XSI, throuw it through assimilate with the _human anims and then save it as a GLM... once this is done put the model and the skins in the same dir, bundel it all up in a PK3 and your done

:)

best read space monkeys tutorial its very through and totaly invaluble. :cya:
