OK well the answer was hard to find and I got some many answers from other forums, that were all wronmg I decided to answer my own question now that I solved it. First off it has nothing to do with the number of visible brushed like so many people thought, or with caulking, it infact has to do with geometeric complexity. Ok so this is what the problem was I had a 40 sided brush, how you might ask, well quite simple I tried to make a large round column, I didn't do this with curves, because I run under XP it crashes my system. I did this buy building a structure with multiple brushes and creating a plane and using subtract, creating a round brush. well there ,was to many sides (edges) and it haulted the compile, when I made the brush 12 sided it worked. so for all of you out theresubtratc is evil, and so is to much complexity in a single brush
