but in max can i load a 3do? or does it have to be xsi? Do i have to build a skeleton? How do i weight the verts and u v w map ? Most of the models i have on file are seperated in hiearcy so that's not a prob, too bad i can't use poser for the animations it would be faster. I know you can do it for sims. I was wondering what the asmil program was for, thanks.
ya the tut that comes with the radiant editing tools has full instructions. still scripting haven't go to my model yet hehe.
Hey whats up. I just got milkshape today. I want to use it to edit models for Jedi Academy. JA uses .glm so i too had the problem of exporting as .glm. So when i found this forum listing, i was really excited! So i'm trying to get exporting from Milkshape as an MD3 to work, but i can't. WHen i try to export the model as an md3 file, i get this error message: "Couldn't find control file "C:Documents and....\Desktop\sidiousspikes2.qc". Know whats wrong? (hopefully its a noob problem. haha)

I too am having the same sorts of issues. On top of that, the plug-in for 3dsmax that comes with either version of the JKII tools doesn't work with my version of 3ds. I am running v.6.0, and it always comes back and says that the plugin was not written for this version of 3ds. I've tried digging around to find a newer version of the plug-in, but have had no success. Anybody know where I can find a newer version? Also, the missing .qc file has been causing me issues when trying to export from milkshape, and I'm a bit stumped there as well. Thanks.
