hey need help with milkshape (not modeleling help .. ive made a model using the goul glm importer for milkshape but this wont let you export as glm ....so try to export it as a .md3 (quake3) file and use the md3 tool which comes with jedi knight jedi outcast editing tools and lo-and-behold i says "error control file not found"(when i try to export it from milkshape) *note this is the only type of files exporting that doenst workso help need plz :dance: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad: :mad:

Have you got windows xp? that may be the problem :uhm:

Ok this is one I can answer.

In the tools menu in milkshape under Quake III Arena, there is an option to generate the control file. Name the control file the same as you are going to name the model and in the same directory as you are going to save the model. Make sure your skin is assigned right though, becuase it has a tendancy to get lost when you import.That should do the trick.

It is not an XP issue, man people always want to blame it on XP or point you to a tutorial, when they don't know an answer. I believe if you don't know an answer or you are going to take a shot in the dark DON'T because when people see replies to a post, they usually make the assumption that someone answered the question, and move on when all they did was boost their post count. I ignored this thread becuase I saw a reply. It was dumb luck I answered, I clicked on the wrong topic and came in.
