Can anyone tell me how to convert a JK2 model to be used in SoF2? We're making a SoF2 space mod and would love to use some of them in it.
If you mean make statues of chars like luke and chiss ect, then it's simple extract assets0 which is located in your base folder. Now extract it to some new folder instead of base and open the models folder once done open players now i'm going to do luke you can do another one if you like well open Luke then copy the model.glm file and paste it into base now make a folder called models and another called map_objects now call the next folder "statues" and place "model.glm" into "statues" now put statues into map_objects and map_objects into models and your done all you need to do is run the editor and right click goto misc then misc_model click then press "n" now the load model file will come up go into models then Map_objects then statues now click model.glm if it only allows md3 files then find a player with an md3 file if there is one i don't have time to look sorry then move it where you want.
ps: Sorry if this was not what you were looking for
Thanks kylek, But, what I want to do is take like lets say the light saber. I want to use it to replace the knife in SoF2. But as is, it won't work in SoF2. The .glm files are close, but can't get it usable. I'm missing something I need to change. I also want to take some player models and convert them so I can use them as player models in SoF2, too. So, I'll have some JK2 models for the players to use in game.
No one knows how to convert a JK2 model to be used in SoF2? The engine is very close. The same effect files and entities are in both games. I just need an idea on how to convert them. PLEASE !
I'm on my knees begging for help.:bows:
