There i was happily making a new skin for jk2.... everything was working fine..... then after one of the MANY times used modview to go look at a change i made, it suddenly decided to come up with this error.... i dont know why. the error says: "JPEG read error: Requested feature was omitted at compile time" after this comes up all u can do is click ok...the model will still come up, but all the torso is white... arrgghhhhh im pulling my hair out!!! Now when i use modview... it comes up with the error and wont show anything for the torso... just all white... and it did work b4. Any ideas? or do i just extract all the files i need again including the glm file.??

How big is the jpeg you made (in pixels)? Are you sure it's the right size (512*1024, for instance)? How have you saved it (with photoshop you can modify the quality)?

Its ok now.... i went and check EVERYTHING!! i even uninstalled JK2.... modview... then reinstalled them.... but.. when that didnt work, i tried reinstalling photoshop....... i found out what the prob was after that.... apparently one of the millions of times i was saving something, on the last time b4 it came up with the error, i must have accidently click over a different format option when u save. Check the attached picture.... it shows the default format option..... somehow i clicked on the bottom one..... i think my mouse button is a bit dodgy..... but anyway thats what it was..... now all is fine in the land of OZ.... sigh Goodnight peanuts..

MMh. Yes. Probably JK2 doesn't read the JPGs with a progressive quality... I think it happened to me too...
