I have radiant set up in multiplayer mapping mode howvever when i create the map and save it (it goes to base/maps) it opens up in single player even though its set for multiplayer. Do i need to pk3 the map and save it somewhere else?
ok well to play the map actually go into multiplayer and setup a temperary server then do /devmap *map name* that will enable cheats but will load the map trust me cause i made a map also! <-- This is only to test it if you want to play it with others then make it a .pk3 and taht is it ok C-Ya! :cya:
That didnt work.
If it opens in single player rather than multiplayer it's because you're opening it in the single player game. The single and Multiplayer executable files are 2 different things, and they don't link to each other from inside the actual game.
What BC said is right, open up JK2 in multiplayer mode, then get the console down (~ key usually) then say you map is called Supermap type
/sv_pure 0 (just so it loads any custom sounds/music/textures.)
and then
/devmap Supermap
and it should load. if it doesn't there will be some sort of error in the console window, so get that and come back.
or just turn pure server off in the advanced options, then type /devmap yourmapname in the console.
if that doesnt work u might want to try reinstalling radiant, especially if the saved maps u make are .map and not .bsp
Actually if you save a map without compiling it saves it as a .map so that is good not bad. After you compile is when it turns to .bsp!
hmph lucky u mine dont...af.as.dfa.f.d.asf.a.sfas:mad:
lol do u have GTK or JK2 radient? Cause that may be what happens cause i use GTK Radient to make the map and sometimes JK2 Radient to compile!
i have jk2 radiant so i wonder if thats the problem...
