do whatever you want for the team colors
color the important parts only, or vica versa
depends on the feel you want, do you want the skin to be more highlighting the major parts by coloring them or by leaving them uncolored? your choice :cya:
edit: congratulations, this thread has reached two pages :)
Yeah im not putting a whole lot of work into the team skins because i want it to be mainly focuses on the Default skin the team skins are there just incase someone wants to use the skin and finds themselves in a CTF or whatever. So the team skins are none to special
Ok ready for this guys...... IM DONE!!!! now i just need to figure out how to send it to Jk2files.com ...... hmm:confused: any help?

umm I dont wanna wait till they post it wanna email it to me at email@example.com and are you gonna try Ayame??
Yeah ill try an ayame but prolly not till a model that would work with it comes out . i might try it out on tavion but i doubt itll look right
Ok sent it to Jk2files.com !! hope to see it soon
Let's get a couple of things straight here.
First of all, do not put this in it's own folder unless you are doing your own custom sounds. All you are going to do is waste disk space by doing that. Name the skin default_ayame, red_ayame, blue_ayame, etc; etc. The emperor_clone skin is based on an Obi-Wan model, perhaps you should base your skin on that since it is the original model.
Also, I do not recommend using .surf files unless there is something you want to do in MP but have it not work in SP. If there are certain textures you want to disable (like the hair braid, which is disabled for the emporer_clone skin), disable them in the .skin file itself by using "clear" instead of the file pathname. Anything than the actual file pathname will work, I use clear because I saw it used by Ravensoft somewhere.
Secondly, you not only need to edit the .skin files, that model also comes with a shader, so you will need to edit that also; Both can be edited with a universal text editor like Notepad or Wordpad, I use Wordpad. Just change the path/filename. If the skin texture is called torso, you should rename it to ayame_torso, then change it in the .skin & .shader file. Obviously you need to rename the shader file as well.
Thirdly, without a program like Adobe Photoshop or Jasc Paint Shop Pro, this whole thing is going to be incredibly difficult. I use both myself, just because there are certain things one can do that the other can't & vice versa; Mainly Photoshop. There's a feature in there called selective color, you can take 1 color & change it to another. This is very useful for Red & Blue skins.
Fourthly, this whole model should be Tavion based. I've never played this game, but when I originally saw this skin, I thought Ayame was a dude. He looks like a Ninja or something.
Anyways, I hope this helps. If you have the game, the best way to record sounds is to take one of those audio cable chords & put it from the TV into your "line in" on your sound chord. Then record it from there. Most sound cards come with this kind of chord. I use Cool Edit 2K & Cool Edit Pro (mostly CE Pro) to edit sounds, it has the ability to not only record sounds, but you can remove noise like hums, clicking, pops, etc; etc. Really nice program.
Late EDIT: You sent that in right before I posted this. Oops.
