I hate asking for help, but... This is the deal, i have models that i want to change and then export them back and assimalte.

Here's the prob. I open the glm with milkshape, then export to a 3ds file, then import them into 3dsmax then make changes and export as a xsi, now i open assiml and add files and build, just like the tutorial says to do, thing is it says my weights aren't there and won't make a new glm.

I had problems with the directory structure of assiml to begin with, it was set as a default on G and W drives. but i fixed that.

I tried going thru 3dmax and doing the flex, weights etc. this didn't fix the weights problem.

So what i need to know is how do i use a glm which is already suppose to have the weights and such in the model after i import into 3dmax and how to change the weights and export as a good xsi? I learn how to use a solid one later.

1. import 3ds into 3dmax 2. then what?

Is there a step in milkshape i'm missing? problem with exporting it as a md3 is that modviewer says it has too many frames of animation and won't export as glm.

HELP!! I have alot of great meshes but stuck on using them for this game. I also need a link to the assimlate tut, mine is corrupt. most of the docs in my tools folder won't open. :(
