Hey, I'm new to skinning and I was wondering: is it possible to create layers in the Paint program that comes with Windows XP? If not, is there a *FREE* alternative to photoshop that I can download somewhere? I'm only fourteen and I can't really afford photoshop.

You can use Gimp, it's free, and almost the same as photoshop you can download it here: www.gimp.org

Not to sound like a moron, but I'm really confused. What do I download? There's so much stuff on this site.
