Ok i tryed milkshape but recently found it doesnt make jk2 model/skins if i found wrong info tell me (Modeler prefered)I tryed 2 disine(sry if spelled wrond) my on model but i need a program 2 so help out plz!
*PS i checked the program forum but need 2 know wuts a realy good 1 so all u player modelers out there hellp!!!!!!!!!!!
if you can get the saved mdeo lto a .md3 (but ive never seen milkshpe so i dunno if its able to save .md3) then use md3view to convert it to .glm (not that i know alot about modeling just knows very little hoped this was any help.)
the only program where you can make player models with is 3d studio max but this program is very expensive
Ok first of you can use any 3d modeling program to create your model, make sure it is broken up properly and done according to the tutorial that comes with jeditools. if you don't have the 3d studio max what you can do is add some steps to getting the final product. You can export the model in a format milkshape can use (make sure the format supports grouping). And the you can create a control file using the quake III arena control file tool, in the tools menu. the export the model as a md3. The md3 if broke up properly can be converted over to glm file.
It is not the program you model but the steps you take to bring the model into the game that make the difference.
Here is a list of supported file types from Milkshape 1.6.5 adn whether it is import or export support, I hope this helps

I believe if you don't know an answer or you are going to take a shot in the dark DON'T because when people see replies to a post, they usually make the assumption that someone answered the question, and move on when all they did was boost their post count.
Yep GMAX or 3dsmax is it but it is expensive anyway link164 you just made me able to make a char as an x-wing thanx.;)
