hehhe i had this problem too okay heres what you do. using winzip (this will take a little while) extract assets0.pk3 from ur base folder to another location. then go into that and go in the folder models then into map_objects then look for the model you want. and find its name. then when in radiant go to misc_model, when that box comes up hit cancel. then in the bigger box (not the radiant one the tall and skinny one) type in the key field model then in the value field type the path of the model, heres an example models\map_objects\ships\x_wing.md3 once its in there place it where you want and go to the button on the very far right of the top status bar that looks like a 3d cube. click on that and select boxed and skinned. that should do it go to richdiesals for more on how to make it solid if you want :D

Another way to get around this error.. when you make your misc_model entity and it pops up the window asking you the location of the file, press Cancel.

Then, open the entity window for the model (select the misc_model and press 'n' on your keyboard).

At the bottom of the entity window should be two textboxes called Key and Value. Put these values:

Key: model Value: models/map_objects/bespin/bench.md3

Press 'Enter' and then close the window by first clicking on the grid, then press the 'n' key again.

This should apply to sound entities as well..
