how do i open a pk3 file into photoshop so i can edit it, or change it. i cant seem to find anything on it, i could be slow, and if you have a tuitorial somewhere, let me know.

1. Don't steal someone's work !!!!!!! It is a big lame, bad bad thing. It is a shame!

2. Okay. You must have WinZip

3.Then double click on .pk3, and if Winows asks what program to use, choose WinZip.

4.Then extract files whereever (spelling?) you want

Yup. You just need a software that can open a .zip file, so winzip, or winrar are good enough. But, personally I think that pakscape is the best. The texture files (Jpg, TGA, png) are inside the PK3 files, which are just archives...

Dude, start a new thread. Don't open 1+ year old threads. When I skin I use a combination of ModView and photoshop. Best combo, in my opinion. Skinning without ModView would be like painting with your eyes closed, then hoping it turns out okay.
