Here's what I want - via cfg or ini files or some sort of UI I want to be able to edit the animation speed and damage of the different lightsaber styles.
In other words, one way or another, (short of actually programming in C++) I want to be able to set the various variables for saber styles to be simply different visual styles. IE. I want even the blue, yellow, and red styles to do the same amount of damage (a lightsaber is a lightsaber after all - no matter how fast ya swing it) and to be roughly the same speed. I want it to be only a matter of personal stylistic preference, and have little impact on gameplay
Is there already a way to do this? Or will I have to beg one of you gracious modding programmers to allow me to do it. If at all possible I would like to be able to incorporate this with Jedi Mod v12.
Heheh, silly rabbit. You should offer a reward or something. That's an aweful tall order. :naughty::spank:
I tell ya what - I'm a pretty good skinner, and a tinkerer to no end. If someone will look into this and provide even part of my request, I will skin or retexture, or just plain texture any file (maybe even several files) for a mod or whatever....It's not much, but being a dirt poor freelance digital artist, it's all I have.... if really hard pressed I may even make you a model... (but prolly not :-)
Oh by the way, I know a bit about programming (what kind of dabbler would I be at least some basic knowledge) I'm too lazy to read through another SDK to figure out how to do it myself, but I don't imagine that my request would mean much more than simply changing a few numbers in the necessary qvm files and animation.cfg... well ok making a UI for it, would be a lil more effort, but on second thought, I don't need a way to constantly change them... I just want each saber style to do a LOT of damage if it lands, have each style do the same amount of a LOT of damage, and be roughly the same speed of swings.... other mods have modified these settings before, just not in the way I want.
Anyway.... perhaps I'll get some of my JK2 work presentable soon and post it at jk2files.com - I'll have to get some permissions from the original authors, artists, etc first.... hence why I've been too lazy before now.
