maybe you could be a civilian, running around, and just as a block is about to fall on somone, you push it away. u dont know what you have done, but the person you saved is very gratful and says you have great force potential and offers to teach you.....

well, the player itself changed is possible, I've seen it happen in a mod. Geonosis hangar duel is what the mod is called. And it sure should be possible to have one player at the opening level and another one on the rest of the levels. The entire story isn't gonna fit in one map you know. Merely because of the opening. The player-model is map-specific I think (in RTCW it is), so if the opening is one map, where the model is civillian/rebel, and the other maps a Jedi model is used, it shouldn't give a problem. ;)

I've also polished up the opening a little more and started layout sketches. You start in your living quarters, with a cut-scene where you're talking on the phone. Then you start playing, the city isn't under attack yet, your objective is to meet someone(the person who called, probably a friend with gangster connections) in a bar. All is calm, then you enter the bar (with the famous old SW mos-eisley bar music) and you start looking for your friend. Once you find him, another cut-scene starts. He tells you that there is a rumour that remnant ships are approaching bespin, and your friend is concerned. He presents you to come with him and move to another planet with his ship, but you decide no to, and so does he. Then he sais that there is nothing left to do then but resist, collaborate or surender. You choose to resist. With your friends gangster connections, you can both get your hands on guns, you get a bryar, he gets an E-11. Then, a week or so later, you hear a WW2-style air-strike alarm. the attack has begun... You go to your friends living quarters to fetch the guns, once you come back outside, the place is swarming with troops. You're outnumbered, better play this smart... ;)

after some sneaking around and killing a few lone troopers, you reach the com. center, contact the new senate(senate went down in SW movies, remember?) and then you can forget about the civillian, he's now officially outa the story. The senate contacts the Jedi Council, the council contacts you(Kyle or other Jedi). :) Voila, and now the actual gameplay starts! You arrive on a starpad and you get checked immediately. You don't get captured, but you shouldn't atract to much attention like in the beginning of the Nar Shaddaa levels. And for the rest, You'll have to wait till its released and play it. :p

Seems like you would need a hack a lot of speech and scripting for that.

There is a reason why most people don't think about doing such stuff.

Anyway, what skills do you have?

I can map, make textures, have a nice imagination(:)) and know what I want, though I give a nice amount of freedom if you don't feel comfortable with something. any comments are appreciated. And about the script hacking, maybe I can find other ways of bringing the message to the player, and any script/coding specialist is very welcome, 'cause thats the one thing I can't do and don't even want to learn...

Seems like the whole start of the game is based around talking.

It's probebly not that difficult, I wish I knew how to do it.
