Do anyone know how to make your own textures on jk2 and not make them look like black squares with white stripes on them???::uhm:
Well if you are using the bsp then type sv_pure 0 in the console before you load your map and if u ahve it in pk3 then make the folder called textures then make sure that the folders in side of there are the same name of the real folders that the real textures are in
I'v tryed wot u sed warplink but it still dont work:( Im sure that all the files in my 'texttures' are all rite!:'(
Make a picture and make sure it's one of the following sizes:
2 4 8 16 32 64 128 256 512 1024
2 = 2=2 4 = 2x2=4 8 = 2x2x2=8 16 = 2x2x2x2=16 32 = 2x2x2x2x2=32 64 = 2x2x2x2x2x2=64 128 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2=128 256 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=256 512 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=512 1024 = 2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2x2=1024
Now make your image a .jpg file and creat the folloing folders:
make a new folder called "textures" Now call the next one the name of your map.
Put all of your textures into "yourmapname" put yourmapname into "textures"
Now put textures into your gamedata/base directory.
Run your map in the console type devmap mapname
Now when you compile your map include the textures file in the pk3
It can also be a .tga
Did u do all that stuff in paint shop pro or another program???
paint shop or photoshop. you pick.
