I am currently working on a Jedi Academy map for 3 servers. Many people will be playing this map. It's a place where people, (Jedi Teachers), hold classes and give lessons to students. It's also a place for people to train.
Anyway, I want to incorporate the Jedi Council room into it. If anyone knows where to get the .MAP file of the Jedi Council room, or if you can make it, I would appreciate it and the 700 members of the Jedi Academy will appreciate it as well. Thanks.
E-Mail me at DimSum6891@netscape.net if you can help me on this.
Thank you Raiden, but I already have those maps. I was wondering if anyone could send me the .MAP file of a jedi council room, one that I can incorporate into my map.
By the way, is there any way to decompile a .bsp file into a .map file? you know how Raiden?
Decompiling a map is possible with a bsp-decompiler... but I find it's pointless. You will lose all texture information and all curves/meshes.. I think entities too. So really you're not left with much ;) lol. The only way to get a hold of a .map file is to ask the person who made the map itself. Perhaps they'd be nice to give it if you told them your intentions and everything.
Can someone please tell me where to get JA radiant? Or whatever program is best for making maps for Jedi Academy? Email at Mikee3605@msn.com. Don't you f*ck*n dare spam me or i will hunt you down and slice and dice.
This is not the right thread but anyway the JAeditingtools (with JAradiant) hasn't been released yet. Only the modelling and skinning tools are released for now...
*sigh* this is why I made a thread called "Setting up GTK for JA" in the JA mapping forums.. sheesj, some people don't even care to look..
Sorry about wrong thread but if you look on JK2 files there is 1 jk3 map out and what prog would they use??? Im puzzled.
Ask DeSoStRoS himselkf next time, I'll answer for you now.
He used a modified JK2Radiant - highly unadvisable imo. I'm mapping for JA too, first with a modified GTK, now with a beta version that has official JA support.
