Ok when you compare tie bombers to y-wings, they are pretty much the same except y-wings can use the ion blast ability and can take down the shields of spacestation and useful against capital ships. So I think the tie bombers should get a special ability,for example
1. When on a planet surface you can have 2 bombing runs at the same time, but it would take a little longer for it to become useable again. 2. Tie bombers can set up landmines that can't be detected and ships that come near them get damaged.
Tie bombers get a special ability? No no no you dont understand The tie bomber/fighter Got rid of most of its uses (its a shuttle too) so it could go faster and more maneuverable (Shields for example) so a special ability? hunt maybe.
well if anything the tie bomber should get concussion missle against fighters, cause they were outfitted to carry those.

Even so, Bombers still needed an escort to be truly effective.
A few squadrons of bombers with Boba Fett and some TIEs infront is a good way to shield the bombers.

TIE Bombers couldn't carry missiles and torpedos. 1 or the other, but not both.
they can carry both, only they won;t carry a lot. anyway they should get missles for this game. but to balance it the missles shouldn't fire a lot.
What they lunch in the game are space bombs not torpedos like that seen in the Xwing/TIE Fighter series.
no, in the game they launch proton torpedos. they should also be givin the ability to shoot missles, like maybe with the switch to missles ability for a short amount of time.
But proton topedos are faster thinner and blue not red.
Maybe earlier Proton Torpedos were blue, but the ones used in the OT (in which Eaw + FoC are set) are red.
With exception of the Prequels and the X-Wing games, they are red.
