Firstly, yes I am aware that there have been previous threads about this; but yet I do not know wether I was supposed to bump the old ones or create a new one. Now, as I've found more threads only concerning a new trailer or clip; I think I'm allowed to do this. ___________________
There has been some controversy wether Daniel Craig would make a good Bond. Most were negative, while some stayed neutral (/ were positive). IMO I thought that Craig would take away the bondy-ness, but I'd though Casino Royale would be a cool movie anyway.
Now this picture:
And the Poster:
made me think it'd become a cool movie even more. (BTW, the official poster looks kick-ass as well.)
Well anyway, enough of the crap; here's the new trailer.
So, what do you think of it? I think that, if you left the '007' parts out, you'd be watching an (kick-ass, maybe) action-movie.
So, discuss :) (?).
I was about to post the new trailer my self :D. the movie looks like it can be good so i might check it out after all.
I just don't think he looks the part of Bond at all.
"Don't judge the cover of the book"
What i'm saying is, you will never know.
I guess you're right, but I still think there was just a certain something about all the previous Bonds that this chap just doesn't fit with. He just doesn't look like James Bond.
Hey, it doesn't hurt to try something new... I felt the same way about Peirce Brosan (Wtf how to spell?) but he wasn't that bad. My favorite of him is GoldenEye.
Sean Connery ownz all.
I personally don't care, largely because Casino Royale has been done before, with the role of the real Bond played by David Niven (if you aren't familiar with the movie, that won't make much sense; just consider that Peter Sellers was involved with this production), and went well beyond "parody" right into "just plain silly".
As such, I have a very difficult time seeing any movie based on that particular book as worthy and serious.

I believe I read somewhere that the people who had seen parts of the movie or witnessed its production were actually quite impressed with the newbie's performance. Of course, I feel sorry for him, as he has taken the role of James Bond in an era when none of the movies being made are worthy of that character's legacy. Pierce Brosnan, for example, had the potential to be one of the great Bonds, but he was stifled by crap scripts. I'd say that they let a great movie franchise die a graceful death before they bury it alive, but the dollar signs in their eyes will prevent that from happening.

Been a while since I've seen that, I remember it as being pretty damn funny, but I assume it must have dragged on too much (as most comedies sadly do) because it's one of about three movies I've ever fallen asleep in. Anyway, as for the film. It does seem a little odd to have a blond Bond, but then again, if you can have a Scottish Bond then Daniel Craig shouldn't stretch the bounds of disbelief too far (all reports thus far credit him as acting the job well). Most importantly though... there is a new Aston Martin in the film. A special edition Aston to be specific, the DBS. Let's all draw a deep breath and say together... "Mmmm."
Im looking forward to it... gona be the hit of the year
