I didnt think it was depressing. Graphic-Sex and Torture. Very good book though.

I always thought the ending was a little messed up, I've never fully understood it. Its still a very well-written piece of literature which provides a chilling view of totaltarian society.

I wasn't so much depressed by it when I read it as I had wished it had turned out differently however if you look at it in hind sight it's a depressing piece of literature as are many other classic pieces of literature.
