alright ill try and keep this short as its late and im about as tired as i am pissed so anyway... I keep hearing about how fox starts a new show then cancels it after only a few episodes, before the season even ends, due to bad ratings. Even if the show happens to actually be pretty good. ones i keep hearing about are Firefly, Arrested Development, and some others i dont remember. but its never really bothered me much becuase i never really got into any of those shows. but recently they started a new show called Drive, about a secret illegal cross country road race. it looked pretty good so i caught the first few episodes, and I thought it was great, definitely better than most of the other stuff on TV now. so anyway i missed mondays episode, so i come home tonight thinking ill watch it online... i was also actually planning to post about it on here too... but IT WASNT THERE! so i notice a bunch of threads in the discussion board about it getting cancelled.... sure enough it was. so im posting this instead. it was an awesome show goddammit! and they didnt even let it run one season, they hardly gave it a chance. not to mention they left all the people who did watch it and got excited about it hanging. im almost completely sure the ratings would have gone up through word of mouth and stuff if theyd just given it a chance. it really was a great show. it seems fox only cares about ratings and not actually putting out good TV. because honestly this season of 24 sucks, ive always thought house sucked, (who the hell want so watch a show about a crazy doctor addicted to painkillers anyway?) but then they get one good show and CANCEL it after 4 episodes:mad: well so much for keeping it short lol... i guess i can only hope another network picks it up... or maybe theyll air the rest of this seasons episodes another time and if they get good ratings they might decide to continue it... ghaaa thats probably never gonna happen:( PS, i dont post much in here... so sorry if posts like this arent allowed... but i had to post about this somewhere!

I really didn't like that they cancelled Futurama, although I'm not sure if that show was on Fox.

It's all about the money.

A show can be groundbreaking, so deep the triest couldnt reach the bottom, visually stunning, feature the best acting man has ever seen.

But if it doesnt capture the attention of the brainless, drooling, boob worshipping masses then it has to go.

Drive is a great show, so is House. Some shows do get cancelled but a very few shows gets a hold on. Sometimes, Fox airs random TV shows unexpectedly then they just cut it off.

Fully agreed, except the bit about House sucking. How the heck is a show, like Drive, suppose to get good ratings if it was only on for like a month!? Like you said, it would spread through word of mouth. I got one my friend's to watch it. I went to watch it last night too, and I thought I had the wrong time, and now I find out it was cancelled! One of the few shows I liked.

It was, but they ended the series off (sort of). I heard something a while back saying that they would make new Futurama episodes, but that might have been a rumor and false.

Fox is the Government's right hand.

Its all about the cash, American Idol and cash.

House and 24 also keep it going.

Fox, IMO, is the worst broadcasting company ever.

Yeah 13 new episodes of futurama are being made to air in 2008, I'm assuming this is because the contract with fox had run out, they are moving to Comedy Central, so you better watch so that they get lots of ratings.

They actually moved to Adult Swim (late night Cartoon Network).

Honestly, I'm getting bored with the reruns. Most of the endings are sad.

Also, American Idol = Crap. If they did a rock version of it, maybe I'd be interested. And I mean Metallica-style rock, not 50s rock as they may try to slip in as rock.

^Also Agreed. And im tired of Never ending seasons of the same shows with nothing new every season. example-Survivor, American Idol, and The Apprentice. Like Seriously, Once You've Seen One Season You've Seen em all, Why bother with 6 or 7 seasons? Because of TV ratings. Its Ghey, And Like When are they Gonna Make another Season of America's Got Talent? That shows great! Something different each episode.
