Has anyone read this book? We did it for a class project in English over the last week. I found it to be an outstanding, truly amazing book. If anyone ever gets the chance, you should really read it. It takes Stalin, and Lenin, and the Russian state and it's totalitarianism during WWII and puts it into a COMPLETELY new perspective. Anywho, for those who have actually read the book. Can you post your thoughts? I would really like to hear what others think about it. It really is a great book and I think that there is plenty of room for open discussion. Thanks!

It was a good book by George Orwell, I liked it, especially the end. Each caracter is represented as an animal and it is sometimes funny.

i had to read that book last year for english

it is a nice book and George Orwell is truely a great writer the only books that he has written that i know of are animal farm and 1984 both of them are very anti-communism

and after reading one of his books i have found that many things today have been influenced by his books

it is a good book and i would like to read 1984 but i'll do that when i have time to read that book

I know. I was really drawn back by how the pigs basically took over everything and at times I got really mad at the book, like...like the part when they sent Boxer to the knackers but the animals couldn't read.

ARGH that made me mad :P But ultimatly I think that the book has changed my viewpoint on several political issues. I am totally anti-commun and totally anti-dictator so this book was something of a delicacy to read :)

Anyone else read it? How about 1984? Now...wow....1984 was a crazy novel, that one is sure to spurr up conversation.

Anything by George Orwell is brilliant. I like Animal Farm for many reasons... my other favorite from him is 1984.

I agree. Animal Farm was a good book. I haven't read it in years though. I might have to get 1984 from the library when I get a chance to do so.
