So who's gonna go see this blockbuster? The reviews are great, I plan to go as soon as time permits, maybe next week. It supposed to be a truly unique visual experience.

On a side note, James Cameron hasn't directed a movie in 12 yrs(!), but it seems he hasn't lost his touch. :)

I'm really looking forward to it. Especially because it's some time since I've seen a (good) 3D film. =p Okay, looking only at the trailers, there is still the possibility that the story might be a bit lame... but I'm hoping for the best. ;) Anyway, the visual effects will surely be worth me getting up during the holidays and going to the cinema in the freezing cold. :anime:

I'm looking forward to it as well. I'm mostly excited about the storyline and of course, the action. I've only seen the trailers, and I must say it's damned awesome. But then again, people who worked on the Titanic, also work on this film, so I expect it to be very good.

Oh, by the way, it's not entirely true that he didn't shoot a film in 12 years... he did these IMAX films "Ghosts of the Abyss" and "Aliens of the Sea" or whatever that one was called... And looking at the documentary character of those, I also expect the scenery to be quite impressive (which is already indicated in the trailers a bit). =p

Okay, depending on what you refer to with this (the VisFX or the story)... I hope I'm not alone in the opinion that Titanic has only one moment worth watching, which is the one idiot who jumps off the back of the ship and hits the propelling screw... :vikki:

I'm referring to the story, Tenno. Titanic was pretty good for it's age.

If you watched De Wereld Draait Door (English translation: "The world goes roundNround/turning) yesterday (Tuesday) that Dutch director said the story isn't that great... too cliche and goody-two-shoes (polictally correct). :clueless:

What I have heard so far that it doesn't fail with visual effects, but I've seen some people compare the movie to watching someone play a video game.

As for the story, I kind of knew from the beginning it wouldn't be too original. Seems to be a mix of the Heart of Darkness and selections from past sci-fi movies and books.
