I'm not sure any of you read these type of books but I'm going to take a shot in the dark. For one my courses I'm either supposed to write a research paper with five journal articles OR read a memoir and write an analysis of the book. The book is a much preferred option. But it has to be fairly specific in nature.
So, have any of you guys read any memoirs or biographies in which the main subject/author experiences significant childhood troubles, especially with parents? We are supposed to be studying the idea of childhood resilience, and point out problems and potential protective factors for the child in the book.
