Anyone see it yet? I was thinking of going but some people said it was over hyped and bad.
yeah one place gave it 2.5 stars out of 5, doesn't look very promising
This movie has recieved very bad reviews all over the internet.Apprently ,instead of being a captivating thriller, its extremely boring throughout
It was ok.
I was a huge fan of the book and the movie was never going to satisfy my huge expectations.
It's worth watching though, just to see the magical places unfold before your eyes.

thinkin’ the reason be hind the bad reviews of it is 'cuz stupid Christians keep saying "it undermines Christianity" ha thought tools don't know what fiction is if it bit them in the ass...not saying all christians are stupid just the bible bangers. Back on-topic Moive was well done screw the critics
[b][i]Heralds of the coming doom, Like the cry of the Raven, we are drawn, This oath of war and vengeance, On a blade of exalted iron sworn, With blood anointed swords
^Well, atleast us 'stupid' Christians can type correctly.
Anyway, I havent seen the movie, but after reading a multitude of reviews, I conclude that the movie was well made, but the screenplay was very poor.
Well played Zoidberg.
However I do partially agree with what he is saying, if only he reworded what he was trying to say.
Anyhow... I thought the movie sucked... hard... lotsa hard sucking.
Care to share your thoughs on the cause of its 'sucking'?
The plot was lacking, I imagine it only touched the tip of the ice berg when compared to the Novel.
Sure there was a story there but once a story of that nature is told it leaves nothing for the audience to come back to, so there is no rewatchability. The movie had action scenes, and a healthy amount of suspense but somehow it was still lacking, seemed rather dull, its hard to explain why the movie fails offer anything to keep you coming back, I guess you will just have to see it yourself eh? ;)
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)

I never read the book, but went along to watch it with a few mates who have.Ive found that Tom Hanks didnt play the part to well.. What they needed was an actor we had never heard of, but fitted whatever the book wanted.I sat through 2 and a half hours hearing *GASP!!!1* "They Left a bit out!!"
