I don't think he's too bad either, he just has awful... awful... awful taste in movies to sign on to. That said, I didn't cringe too often while watching Welcome To The Jungle.

'Starring' isn't the right word. The Rock is in it, but from what I've heard his part isn't massive. The film looks awesome though, something to look forward to.

I'll wait for the reviews on this one. Right now it doesn't look too bad, but first impressions aren't everything.

Personally, i think it will be a little too much like resident Evil, but i'll wait and see before i decide on whether i like it or not!

Ah, I dunno. I think for a DOOM movie to work it'd need to be beyond the point of violent and also many unexpected deaths (i.e. deep blue sea - S. Jackson). It'll also have to have good, slow deaths too. Also, Horrific videos and clues to what happened before they arrived....which are actually frightening (but doesn't try to be too much) Also, at least one mutant transformation of the newly-arroved marines (which is most likely) Plus, it'd need to have a thrilling plot to it. Doom 3's was quite involving although they didn't convey it very well because it didn't entwine very well with the whole kill kill kill aspect. The film needs to be slow on some occassions...but on those occassions be filled with good twists and there better be good, well-thought of characters who of which people can relate to. F.e. IMO John Grimm = A Die-hard sort of character, with odds against him and is generally terrified throughout. Luckily Rock wasn't selected as the main or it'd be, as I fear: Hard ass punks busting down doors and, yet decreasing in numbers, keeping it straight and GETTING THE JOB DONE. Plus, yelling out cheesy lines. I hate those lines. They ruin movies. Aliens was the original, IMO, to have crazy characters that kicked ass like this, but at least back then it was original. Nowadays any film with that sort of bollocks (Resident Evil?) is on my to-poo list. POO!! Lastly, the worst thing that can happen is if Grimm becomes so confident that by the end he utters some cheesy bad line before blowing up a Cyberdemon or the evil mainframe computer or something. I have more points but I just write down what comes to mind and it's all very much a jumble p.s. a planet that doesn't exist?! wasn't it phobos and then demos?...THEN hell? (mars?)
