Just wondering, has anyone seen this movie about a brother and sister who flee Guatamala after the military kills their parents? It's a very touching movie, easily one of the best I've seen. It goes through the hope, joy, and anguish of illegal immigrants coming to America, and is gathered from true stories.
Rosa and Enrique are two of the greatest characters ever to be created for any sort of movie, book, or anything. You're really pulling for them throughout the film. They both have their goals, hopes, and fears, the latter is mainly losing each other.
After a rollercoaster of fear, relief, betrayal, and comfort, they think they found the land of their dreams in America, but it all comes crashing down after a short time. The price they pay is so horrific, I just can't get it out of my mind. That's how good this movie is, it affects me three days after I saw it. Maybe it's because Rosa reminds me so much of one of my dearest friends.
This movie really speaks to you. Watch it, and have a tissue ready when you here Adaigo for Strings, the same song used to usher in Elias's death in Platoon.
I have heard of it never seen it though.
