Hi, I'm a Minnesotan and the liquor hasn't killed me yet.
Fargo is a television show based on (In my opinion) one of the best films that ever done been made. Fargo is just Pulp Fiction in Minnesota, its got everything you'd want from a film, like awkward sex scenes, a cop with morning sickness, ridiculous northern accents and traditional Norwegian folk music.
The show is also excellent and you should free some time (Suggestions: Sell your pets, quit your job, stop talking to your family, put a TV in your bathroom, etc.) and watch Fargo's moving pictures and listen to its sounds and stuff.
If you have already done those things (You're welcome for the bathroom television, by the way) holler about the show.
Don't know the show but I did watch the movie, along with a bunch of other movies by the Coen brothers. Liked most of them.
It definitely takes a lot more leeway in the realm of plausibility than the film, but it's well done and seems like a poke of fun at the "Based on true events" intro.
It's almost over though, as from what I've heard there'll only be the single season. Nevertheless I'm not too sore over it, since it won't run the risk of dragging on too long.
