What is your single greatest TV show of all time and why?

Mine is Six Feet Under. It's been some years since I've watched it, and I miss the show dearly, I have it on DVD and I'm really wanting to watch it all over again. It's the only show that I really felt a connection with the characters, with the story, with what was going on, it's also the only show that made me tear up and cry, it was deep. It was truly epic, and to-date no show has ever been comparable to Six Feet Under, I thought it was just that good. If you haven't seen it and are into well-produced, well-written dramas, I highly, highly recommend it.

* I know there have been similar threads in the past, but I really didn't want to use my powers of necromancy to resurrect a thread that died a long, long time ago.

Hands down my favorite show of all time would be Doctor Who. It's about a man that calls himself The Doctor, who travels to anywhere and everywhere in time and space in a machine called a TARDIS. He knows a lot about the universe and uses said knowledge to right wrongs and defeat evil wherever he comes across it. The show's original run was from 1963-1989 and was started up again in 2005 and is still going. With literally limitless possibilities in story and imagination this is my favorite show of all time.

I have two, because I just can't decide between them..

One, is Seinfeld. I'm convinced this is one of the funniest shows ever made. I loved the characters, but the way that they turned very ordinary things into very hilarious things was just classic.

The second is Futurama. I still watch Futurama on DVD on a regular basis, because it seems like every time I watch an episode, I pick up on something I'd never noticed before. I absolutely love The Simpsons, so when Matt Groening gave his brand of humor a sci-fi theme, I was sold. Some of my favorite television quotable quotes have come from Futurama:

"Bender, bend open this steam vent so we can escape! ...AHH, NO GOOD! IT'S FULL OF STEAM!"

"You win again, gravity!"

"This could be the end of the banana daiquiri as we know it. Also, life."

Has to be Lost for me, its the most unique show I have ever seen and it has always leaves you with questions speculating what's to come. Have never seen a show start as a Drama, move slowly into Sci-Fi but still remain fab to watch before. After watching an episode I always badly wanted to see the next one.

Star Trek for me. All of it. If I had to sort them starting with the one I like the most, this would be the list:

 1. Voyager - I like the characters and the storyline
 2. Deep Space 9 - Great space battles
 3. The Next Generation - Q!
 4. Enterprise - 1st and 2nd season are somewhat boring, but the 3rd and 4th are making up for it
 5. The Original Series - Classic, but I like it the least

If it had lasted long Firefly would easily win, no contest. Just can't quite give "greatest show ever" to one that never had the chance to get anywhere though.

So instead I'd give it to Mythbusters. IF I could only ever watch one show again, it would be Mythbusters.

My favorite current show would have to be Doctor Who aswell.

But i'm a 'geek of most traits'. As in, I will always be a die-hard Stargate fan. :D I have all 10 seasons of SG-1 (Michael Shanks signed the 10th season boxset for me :D ), Stargate: The Ark Of Truth and Stargate: Continuum, all 5 seasons of Atlantis (Jewel Staite signed my season 4 boxset. She is awesome. :D ), the original movie (still gotta get Kurt Russell to sign it) and the first 10 episodes of Stargate Universe downloaded through iTunes.

Then theres LOST, and Red Dwarf.
