Anyone seen this yet? It's a science fiction movie directed by Christopher Nolan, starring Leonardo DiCaprio. It premieres in Denmark today, but I'm waiting for some reviews. Here's the summary from the IMDB page:
In a world where technology exists to enter the human mind through dream invasion, a highly skilled thief is given a final chance at redemption which involves executing his toughest job till date, Inception.
Go see it.
The only decent reviews I could do of it would give away too much; but the CGI, the acting, the direction; all of it works, and is done beautifully. The story itself is less complicated than many on the internet may have you believe; it's a mind fuck that still makes sense.
This is a must see movie, people I know when they saw the trailers they didn't really think it would be something they would like, but after seeing it they liked it very much. This movie can appeal to everyone, imo. The entire cast did a superb job. Christopher Nolan continues to impress, it's a well written story that you'll want to see again and again. This is what I said about it in the "Review the last movie you saw" thread:
Admiral_Jamoking;5367751Inception: 10/10, 5 stars,
Has a good chance to win best picture in my mind, I think the academy will actually have a hard time finding 10 nominations because the films this year have been lacking in the best picture-type.
I think Christopher Nolan is starting to become the Kubrick of our time. I'm in no way comparing him to Kubrick (no one compares to Kubrick), but I believe Nolan's storytelling can be seen as similar. For instance, looking at Inception it reminds me in a way of 2001: A Space Odyssey both films have this sense of mystery that we as an audience try to wrap our minds around. With Inception it is the dream world, and 2001 it is outer space. I also think that both film's musical scores helped propel the story, but obviously in 2001 it was more of an impact.
Oh and here's a little parody of the Inception Trailer: Can you say burrrr? (just for a bit of fun, there's no spoilers) :p
Don't wait any longer..just go see it.
I saw this yesterday, quite enjoyed it, though had a numb ass by the end of the film due to being seated so long. Anyone remember when films used to be an hour and a half? :lulz:
But yeah, good story (a strong imagination from the writer here), a good set of actors and actresses, good CGI, and some complex depth, plus the odd little bit of humour that was thrown in there, along with Ellen Page. ;)

:lulz: That was both funny, and somewhat disturbing. But it seems like the movie got high ratings all across. It's nice to see a good movie that isn't a sequel or prequel, so I'll definitely be watching this soon.

i saw it 3 days ago and I think it's one of the best films I've seen Mainly due to the plot but the acting, effects etc are also awesome.
Im hearing alot of talk about this movie.
Saw it a while ago... loved it. Definately go see it.
Just saw it yesterday, it's a bloody good movie. Probably one of the best I've ever seen. The plot, well, it's kind of indescribable, I don't think any explanation could do it justice.
