Helms deep was cool, but the entire battle of Pelanor fields beats it. How often in movies do you see 6000 Rohharim (?) charge the Orcs? Oliphants are pretty cool as well. Still my fav 'battle' was the Mines of Moria, it was just plain cool, especially when the Balrog came.
Yar, mine would be Moria too. Pellenor Fields would have been a lot better if the army of the dead was kept to a much lower-key role (I think in the books they just took care of the folks in the ships?); in the movie they just poured along unstoppably, making the efforts of the Rohirrim and the Gondor folks look pretty pointless.
yeah, they did seem to kill the armies pretty easily, wouldve been cool to have seen more of the gd ol' aragorn and gimli rather than that (poser) legolas.
I agree with City4Life (about the Legolas thing)
I liked practicaly all the battles. I also liked when they fight all the orcs and stuff, right in front of the Black Gates.
i like the part when legolas jumps on the oliphaunt..but my fav part is from the book, when frodo puts on the ring next to the fire in mount doom..its described brilliantly.
I like when the big tree things flood that one white beard guy.
Helms Deep and The battle at that one city in ROTK
Minas Tirith... that was a great battle... GO GHOSTY PEOPLES!!! oh and some humans as well.
I thought that part was stupid. Way to make it easy for the good guys to win. Invite a bunch of ghost who cannot die to do your dirty work. Also, I think the humans had some respawn code on, because although they were giving you the impression that many of them were dying, there was not enough of them to die in the first place.
I'm way cooler than n0e (who isn't though?)

in the books it does not happen , men fight and win the war not ghosts
ghosts help in capturing the ships thats all
