Personally I think all Horror movies are the same shit. None of them actually scares me... Although there are some movies have have the most scariest shit but does not fit in the 'horror' category.

It all depends on how recent you want to go for horror movies. I always liked the Hellraiser series. There is also the Dawn of the Dead movie. The remake is pretty good, but I don't remember the original because it has been so long. For newer horrors, I don't really have any knowledge. Silent Hill could be good, but it could also be just another cheap video game movie.

Indeed, like what I mentioned above, some movies that don't fit in the horror catorgry have some scary shit that you'll never forget.

Example: The dead baby scene in, 'trainsspotting'.

:agreed

What is horror? It's hard to define. You can make a movie with loads of 'shock' moments, but mostly you can't call that horror.

Currently lots of gore-fest horrors are being made; Saw Saw 2 Hostel. Of these I've only seen Saw (i'll recommend it!). Saw is one of the better ones i've seen lately. Actually, I think this one does pretty well in the defenition of horror, as both the killer is kinda a lunatic, and the traps are aweful. Hostel, as I've heard/read, is really gore-y too. I've read something with 'yolky eye', for anyone that has seen it?

Oh, you know what, don't forget Crocodile ;), like thats real horror. (horror movie making, that is).
