Speaking of eye gouging and such in 28 Weeks Later I figured: "hey let's open up a nasty little thread about the most disturbing and most disgusting parts of movies".
It can be any kind of movie (not just horror) and it can be any kind of disgusting (not just killing and death). But do keep it within the topic, don't post on how the mere creation of Dude Where's My Car was disgusting or anything like that.
Off the top of my head I can think of maybe 2 or 3 real bad ones that I remember: 1) The eye gouging scene in 28 Weeks Later 2) The Achilles heel snap in Hostel (made even better when you hear that snap in a movie theater) 3) The entire trailer scene in the new The Hills Have Eyes remake 4) The "rape" scene in The Devil's Rejects between Otis and that one blonde woman
please add to the list...
VOP2288;36829832) The Achilles heel snap in Hostel (made even better when you hear that snap in a movie theater).
I second that. What I found to be kinda disturbing was: 5) The drilling in the head in Saw III Will continue later, when I can recall more disgusting movies :p
6) The lawnmower scene off of Dead Alive 7) The scene from The Thing where the guys stomach eats the guys hands. Then proceeds to sprout out a huge worm mutant head thing!
For me its not just one scene, but pretty much all of Saw III. That is one disgusting movie, i can't watch stuff like that.

The torture scene in Reservoir Dogs has always disturbed me
when he cuts that one chicks eye off in hostel. And eye gouge scene in the Descent. And the scene from saw 3 where the guy smashes his foot with the slab of concrete then snaps it in half.
The scene from The Thing where the guys stomach eats the guys hands. Then proceeds to sprout out a huge worm mutant head thing!
Lol. That's a great example of how dated special effects that kinda look cheap can actually be more disturbing in themselves then laughable. I forgot about that part but yes - it is quite sickening.
Some news ones:
8) The scene in Saw II where the girl gets thrown into the pit of needles - ouch...just ouch 9) The first time I ever saw that part in the first Alien movie when the creature comes out of that guys chest (when I was like...10) 10) All the parts in Signs when the aliens make noises but especially the scene where he sees the alien's shadow on the top of the barn outside - mad scarey
I didn't make it!
Saw 2 and 3 are probably the most gruesome movies ever. Not sure about others like Saw. Correct me if I'm wrong.
The torture scene in Takashi Miike's Audition was quite a thing to sit through. I haven't really seen that many shock gore horror flicks though, so I dunno. Miike's Masters of Horror episode from season 1 (forgot the title) also had a torture scene that was hard to sit through.
