Well, news about it has been out for a while. The reason I started this thread is because tonight on HBO there was a trailer for it. It's coming in 2010. The trailer was fucking epic, but I can't seem to find it online. I am sure it will be up soon, though.
A total of 10 episodes at 60 minutes each will be shown on all the major networks ranging from the UK, to Germany, Asia, Austria, Switzerland and beyond. HBO billed the production as, “the biggest thing HBO has ever done” but also “the biggest production in the history of television,” given the scale and scope of the miniseries. It’s like making 10 major movies at once.
I've been looking forward to this series for quite awhile now. Though I doubt I'll watch it on HBO, I'll be waiting for it to come out on Blu-ray / DVD.
I'll be sure to post the trailer once it shows up on the web. It literally made me stop in my tracks as I was heading towards my kitchen.
Can we see the Trailer please?

HBO keeps taking it down for some reason. I'm hoping it will be up permanently, soon.
Indeed, there are no trailers yet. So it seems Tom Hanks is a part of the production team alongside Steven Spielberg. Interesting to see how different this is from Band of Brothers.
I can't find the trailer anywhere, and I have been searching like hell
Hell...yes.
BoB was such an incredible series, so I imagine this one will be up to par. Tom Hanks usually doesn't skimp on the swank in terms of his directing. Can't wait! :)
By the way, I want to motorboat Blank Stare's avatar.
I guess the only way to see it is to watch HBO for it. It was on before True Blood (Yes I like that show, sue me! :p) yesterday night.
Should be great; God knows BoB was.
There's supposedly a trailer at Trailer: Steven Spielberg’s The Pacific Miniseries | /Film but I can't get the video to work myself...
