My friend and I had a little conversation of sorts today that kinda made sense and was kinda funny...the two of us love Tarantino and his movies but it's just rediculous how much other films try and bank in on his name. Tarantino was credited with having something to do with movies like Hostel, Sin City, The Protector, and Hero to name a few.

In reality though Tarantino probably just showed up on the set and said: "hey...this looks kinda cool" so they smack his name all over the movies preview. Ok - in Sin City he supposedly actually directed a scene but no one knows WHICH one. And even in the past few months I remember seeing movie trailers that had his opinions tacked on like: "Tarantino says that this movie will rock your socks!" It's just crazy how hes credited with so much that he has little to do with..haha

I like him and his movies very much. I imagine the majority of people who've watched his films feel the same way. That's probably why he can get paid to come onto sets and do stuff like that. There isn't a chance in hell he's not getting paid for the showup or the opinion.

I guess he's earned it with the quality of movies he has directed and written and their popularity. I'm not saying he's the most rightious director, because I've only seen Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill volumes. I liked them all very much though.

VOPOk - in Sin City he supposedly actually directed a scene but no one knows WHICH one.

.. It wasn't kept secret or anything ;). The scene he directed was the scene where Dwight is talking to the dead cop (Rafferty), in the car. From 'The Big Fat Kill.'.

And well, I do believe that he kind of helped to produce, or produced the other movies.

YI read the first post and began thinking it had to be one of those kind of scenes that one in the car is brilliant :D
