Crazy and smart (Lecter) over just plain crazy (Bateman).

Well, bateman was also rather intelligent if you've seen the movie. He wasn't a psychological genius like hannibal, but he was clever and the epitome insanity(the scene where he chases the hooker through the hotel with a chainsaw).

I agree with that, Bateman seems to just loose his cool to easy such as when he chases a hooker with a chainsaw lol.

Patrick Bateman looks like Hugh Laurie. And I've never watched silence of the lambs, but I've watched Red Dragon, and read Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal Rising.

And I think Hannibal wins.

Patrick gets my vote. Dude is plain awsome. The scene where he puts the jacket on and starts listening music and kills "jared". Daaamn, the guy is extremely smart too.

Psht. Patrick Bateman is portrayed by the film American Psycho horribly! If you get a chance to read the book, it's much better than the film. There were a bunch of scenes scrapped from the film, the entire psychopathic vibe was dampened a lot, etc.

That being said, Patrick Bateman gets my vote.

Bateman definitely. I enjoyed the movie very much. Some of my favorite scenes have him going off on his music related monologues. Apparently the book goes into much much more detail in this regard. I'll have to read it sometime.
