This evening I'll be going to watch the third movie in the PoC serie. So what do you think, will it be any good? Will it be better than the first or the second? Do you like any of the movies? Discuss it all in this thread.

I went to see it the day before yesterday and it was nothing short of amazing. It was an epic sequel to the last films and was fun to watch. I don't want to say too much about it as it has only just been released, but I can assure you it is well worth watching, especially if you have seen the prequel films.

In my opinion, it is definately the best of the three films, having alot of action and comedy parts included. I would give it a rating of 9.3/10, losing .7 due to some crappy explosions.

I though it was really good, and was much better then the second, but not quite as good as the first. There were a couple of scenes that I thought were just too silly or pointless. I would give it an 8.5/10

i thought the first one was very well done for a debut, the only problem for me is that i havent seen the second, so it would not make any sense to see the third :[

Well, in a sense, I thought the first was better than the second. Can't say about the third yet, as I obviously haven't seen it. However some of the trailer scenes look remarkable. Will have to wait and see on this one. [quote=StewieTheJoker;3699940]i havent seen the second, so it would not make any sense to see the third :[

I'm hoping for this to be any good, but I don't think it'll be (for my taste). I never really got into the hyped caused by the first one, and the second one pretty much plainly sucked, weren't it for Depp playing Sparrow brilliantly. I think this one has the potential to rock (Chow Yun-Fat, anyone?), but also to suck (Disney-esque 'action', anyone?).

I'm with Afterburner. Not as good as the first but better than the second. It's a funny movie with some rather interesting plot twists. "Curious, isn't it?" - Captain Jack Sparrow

I saw both 1 and 2 in the theater and have them both on DVD. My wife and I will be going to see the 3rd tomorrow. I saw on the "behind the scenes" interviews with Johnny Depp on the 2nd DVD that he would be open to doing a 4th. Without giving anything away, does it seem to leave anything open to doing another?

Most definitely. They leave it way open for a fourth, unconnected one. But They close this trilogy quite nicely I think. The fourth movie is unconnected to the past three except for some characters, I think.
