Beckett? Oh yes, he has such a face you would like to make a punching-ball of. And such a snobby attitude too, but that's his job i suppose. :p

I don't know why that guy froze up, The Endeavour had twice the amount of guns the Dutchman and pearl had, i mean he would have been hurting, but i dont think either the Beaten up pearl or dutchman could have survived either. Does anyone know why he froze up?

I guess he figured with the Dutchman being supernatural and out of his control now, he was done for.

I think it was probably the realization that perhaps he was on the "wrong side" .Maybe he thought that he was also just following orders or something and that he wasn't actually fighting the "bad guys" at all , but rather that he was turning out to be more of the evil side with the death and conflicts he had caused.Him not giving the orders to fire could also seem like he wanted to be killed then ,so he could end any the conflict with the pirates of which his views may have changed. That and he could have realized he turned into a miserable moron who everyone wants to punch.

I disliked the part where he walks of the stairs and the entire boat is being blown apart and debry is flying everywhere and yet he's able to calmly walk of the stairs...and then blows up whahaha I know it brings a whole dramatic feeling, but nevertheless I dislike it.

As unrealistic a scenario it was (the guy didn't even flinch), I'd really like to know how they did that. It had to be green screen, but the telltale "glow" around his profile was nowhere to be seen. Movie effects get better by the minute!

He was just so fcking surprised they both still were able to fight and turned against him. He didn't have time to react, because according to the story, the pearl and the dutchman are both the fastest ships to exist. Plus the dutchman can't be sunk, as it is actually a ghost ship...

I liked the movie, but i think the second one was best.

He stood there for half a minute while the pearl and dutchman moved into position, and neither of those can outrun a cannonball, especially when they are moving alongside the Endevour, so he had plenty of time to give the order.

As for the Dutchman being unsinkable, that it may be, but the crew, and thus the gun positions are clearly vulnerable to attack. Conclusion? pastyface was a tool.
